Paint Shop Pro (PSP) is a bitmap graphics editor and vector graphics editor for computers running the Microsoft Windows operating system that was originally published by Minneapolis-based Jasc Software. In October 2004, Corel Corporation purchased Jasc Software, and with it, the distribution rights to Paint Shop Pro.


Features:

Originally called simply Paint Shop, the first version, 1.0, was released in early 1992. Paint Shop was originally distributed as shareware, but is now sold in the United States for US$99.99, or US$59.99 for an upgrade from version 7 or higher, which is considerably lower than the price of its main competition, Adobe Photoshop. International prices vary but there is always a price advantage over Photoshop.

Its functionality is easy to learn and its user base is large due to the fact that many mid-range scanners come with PSP as their acquisition tool and image editor and many OEM have been, or are, bundling it with their systems.

rom version 5.01 to version 9, Jasc bundled Animation Shop, an animated graphics editor, with Paint Shop Pro. Animation Shop is now available separately for US$40.

With version 8.0 of PSP Jasc made some major changes to PSP. The most obvious change was the new look of the program through the use of all new GUI elements. Version 8.0 also introduced the ability to control most elements of PSP via scripts or macros. Some changes, however, were not welcomed by all users. Some users complained that the time to start version 8.0 was tens of seconds, whereas the previous version started up in a few seconds. Some users also complained that the changes made to the brush and other tools rendered them much less precise than in the previous version. This has caused some users to stick with version 7.0 of the program. Version 9 later solved some of those issues.

Major changes in version 10 included a revamped Learning Center that helps new users to get started, Makeover Tools (Blemish Remover, Toothbrush/whitener, and Suntan Brush), IR film simulator, and a Black and White film converter that includes color filter effects. One of the most anticipated additions to version X was 48Bit (16bits per channel) color support, which unfortunately was not completely supported. In version X, 48bit color images were limited to a handful of digital image correcting features, but not full blown photo editing, where the real benefit could be realized. On the surface 48bit color is merely as good as 24bit color. However when the image is manipulated, 48bit color allows more precise color data to be maintained providing less image artifiacts after significant manipulation.

Since its eleventh version released in September 2006 the program bears the name "Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI". This has introduced a new "Organizer" that replaces the previous file browser and a number of new filters and effects. There have also been new "One-step photo fixes" introduced.

Se você precisa organizar, editar, enviar fotos para amigos por e-mail, montar imagens panorâmicas, imprimir suas fotos e muito mais (quem não precisa?), este sem dúvida é um dos melhores softwares disponíveis no mercado. Produzido pela JASC, a mesma empresa que faz o já consagrado Paint Shop Pro, o Paint Shop Photo Album é um programa muito simples de ser usado, mas não confunda simplicidade com falta de recursos - na verdade, entre todos os softwares do gênero que já analisei, este é um dos mais completos e eficientes. Assim, esta feliz combinação de simplicidade de uso com recursos abundantes fazem do Paint Shop Photo Album uma excelente escolha para o fotógrafo digital.

Quando se abre o programa pela primeira vez, surge uma janela principal, onde são apresentadas as imagens de exemplo que vêm com junto com o software. No lado esquerdo da tela, temos um navegador (browse) pelo qual podemos acessar qualquer pasta em nosso computador e visualizar rapidamente as fotos. Três outras abas no lado esquerdo apresentam, respectivamente: as informações contidas na imagem, ferramenta para incluir ou retirar palavras-chave, e ferramenta de busca para encontrar determinadas fotos por palavra-chave, data ou outras especificações. Tudo muito simples e eficiente.

As fotos, estejam em diferentes pastas ou numa única, podem ser organizadas em álbuns, que são criados automaticamente numa pasta Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album Images (em Meus Documentos/Imagens). Para isso, é preciso escolher, no menu File, a opção New Album. A tela divide-se em duas janelas, e basta ir selecionando e arrastando, com o mouse, as fotos para a janela do novo album, para criá-lo ao mesmo tempo em que se navega por quantas pastas se quiser. Os álbuns, na verdade, são novas pastas criadas pelo software sob a pasta principal Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album Images, onde são copiadas as fotos escolhidas.

Já uma barra de tarefas, representadas por ícones, sob a barra de menu principal, permite acesso aos principais recursos do programa. O primeiro ícone, Camera, proporciona acesso direto ao cartão de memória de qualquer câmera digital que esteja acoplada ao computador, de modo que se pode transferir as imagens e já organizá-las pelo software.

O segundo ícone, Print, é um dos recursos mais atrativos para o usuário, pois permite imprimir de modo simples e ao mesmo tempo cheio de opções as fotos. Pode-se imprimí-las uma a uma ou em grupos, com diversas diagramações. O ícone que se segue, Rotate, é para rotacionar fotos que foram feitas na vertical mas que apareçam na horizontal na janela do programa.

O quarto ícone (da esquerda para a direita) é o E-mail, que como o nome já indica, faz com que uma ou mais imagens sejam imediatamente enviadas pelo software padrão de e-mail do computador.

O ícone a seguir, o Slide Show, faz com que as fotos selecionadas sejam exibidas como um slide-show. Esse slide-show pode ter música acompanhando, e ainda apresenta um controle para o usuário parar ou avançar as fotos. Um slide-show pode ser salvo no disco rígido para apresentação posterior. Mas se o usuário preferir gravar em CD ou DVD, a próxima opção na barra de tarefas, o Vídeo CD, faz justamente isso, ou seja, grava slide-shows no drive de CD-ROM ou DVD-ROM.

O ícone seguinte leva ainda mais longe o conceito de compartilhamento de imagens, pois permite enviar um álbum (ou seja, o conteúdo de uma pasta) para o site da empresa, que disponibiliza assim espaço em seu site para o usuário mostrar as fotos para amigos.

O próximo ícone, Batch, faz com que várias tarefas, como redimensionamento de imagens, sejam possíveis. Agora, a próxima tarefa, Panorama, é sem dúvida uma das atrações deste software, pois ao contrário de outros softwares não específicos que andei testando, este realmente funciona. Juntei várias imagens que fotografei numa rua de forma simples e eficiente, com resultado perfeito e extremamente rápido.

Finalmente, o último ícone é o Delete,para apagar fotos.

Os recursos do Paint Shop Photo Album não param por aqui. Explorando-se todas as opções da barra de menu teremos ainda muito o que fazer com nossas fotos graças a este bom software. Sem dúvida, uma boa escolha para o aficcionado da fotografia digital.

Pragma 5.x is a multilingual computer translation software for translating the text documents from one language into another. The program supports seven languages: English, German, French, Latvian, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. Pragma 5.x makes translation directly in a window of the active application or in the separate window of the Fast Translation. It allows to translate the text information presented as MS Word documents, Internet pages, E-mails, helps and also content of different text windows. Pragma 5.x is very simple in usage due to automatization of many of its functions.

Unlike other programs of computer translation the Pragma project utilized multilingual technology of translation in which all the possible directions of translation are supported for the chosen number of languages. For example, three languages - English, Russian and Ukrainian have six variations of language pairs:
English-Russian, Russian-English, English-Ukrainian, Ukrainian-English, Russian-Ukrainian, Ukrainian-Russian.

As you can see the number of directions is more then number of language modules. Obviously, in this case it is much more convenient to talk about language modules then about translation directions.

In the name Pragma 5.x the last digit indicates the number of included languages.

So, Pragma 5.2 - works with any two languages, Pragma 5.3 - with any three etc. Pragma 5.7 includes the complete set of all language modules available now.

In addition to the basic translation dictionaries, there are also dictionaries of the special terms on 50-ty different subjects. These dictionaries contain enough rare and specific terms. If you need to translate a specialized document, the switching on to "Plus" mode may help you to raise the translation accuracy.

Funcionalidad de Bricscad V9
La versión V9 de Bricscad ofrece nuevas funcionalidades y mejoras. Cotas Asociativas, Edición de Referencias, un editor de texto multilínea, Selección Rápida, Wipe Out y muchas más. Gracias a la API BRX, puede recompilar y ejecutar su código ARX sin modificaciones.

Edición de Referencias

La herramienta EditRef permite editar el contenido de referencias externas (refxs) y bloques insertados dentro del dibujo actual, lo que comunmente se llama edición in-situ. Editref trabaja tanto en una poción de la referencia a editar como en el dibujo completo o todas las entidades del bloque. Los bloques anidados son detectados automáticamente y presentados en una vista en árbol. Una vista previa de cada bloque o RefX le ayuda a seleccionar el objeto correcto. Los cambios son guardados a la RefX o al bloque en el dibujo actual.

Cotas Asociativas

Las cotas son actualizadas automáticamente cuando la geometría cambia. Puede incluso acotar entidades del Espacio Modelo en el Espacio Papel y observarlas actualizarse al modificar éstas en Espacio Modelo. Las cotas pueden ahora ser ubicadas en puntos de referencias a entidades como puntos finales, puntos medios y perpendiculares. Las cotas asociativas se aplican tanto a cotas lineales como angulares.

Editor de Texto Multilínea

Con el nuevo editor de texto multilínea integrado puede crear y editar textos multilínea del dibujo, en lugar de utilizar un editor externo. Como resultado, puede ajustar el ancho de la caja de textos o el tamaño de la fuente mientras crea o edita textos, y poder así observar los resultados en el dibujo.

Selección Rápida
Mediante el uso de la herramienta de Selección Rápida puede especificar filtros, tales como tipo de entidad, color, tipo de línea o cualquier otra propiedad de entidad, para crear un conjunto de selección. Después de crear el criterio de filtrado, puede elegir añadir las entidades resultantes a un conjunto de selección, añadir las entidades al conjunto de selección actual o eliminarlas del conjunto de selección. La Selección Rápida se aplica al dibujo completo o a una selección creada previamente.

Wipe Out

Un wipeout es un área poligonal que oculta los objectos subyacentes mediante el uso del color de fondo. El uso más común de los wipeouts es el uso para enmascarar partes del dibujo para su claridad. Por ejemplo, puede desear añadir texto a una parte complicada del dibujo. Un wipeout podría usarse para enmascarar un área detrás del texto y incrementar la legibilidad de éste.
Explorador de Dibujos con Estados de Capas

Los estados de capas le permiten guardar y restaurar configuraciones de propiedades y estados de capas. Puede desear que una capa se muestre en azul algunas veces y verde en otras, o desea que algunas capas estén desactivadas o congeladas al editar una parte especifica del dibujo. Una vez que haya ajustado todas sus configuraciones de capas, puede usar estados de capas para guardar sus configuraciones. Puede salvar múltiples estados de capas en un dibujo.

Administrador de Configuraciones
En el diálogo de Configuraciones puede comprobar y modificar los valores actuales de todas las configuraciones. Las configuraciones pueden ser examinadas alfabéticamente o categorizadas, agrupando las configuraciones relacionadas en una vista en árbol. La funcionalidad de búsqueda integrada permite encontrar configuraciones de manera rápida e intuitiva. Para cada configuración, se obtiene una pequeña descripción, si la configuración es global o especifica del dibujo, y, si es posible, una previsualización gráfica.
